Who will leave early?
Make a list of people and animals who will evacuate early.
Discuss these decisions with everyone in your household, particularly those who are more vulnerable, like children, the elderly and those with disabilities.
If you plan to leave early, then you must leave your home well before a bushfire threatens and travelling by road becomes hazardous.
You’ll need to consider a plan for:
- Yourself
- Other adults
- Children
- People who need assistance
- Pets
- Livestock
Remember that some people, like children, the elderly and those with disabilities, might need help making a plan, and following the actions in their plan.
